Debtwire Latin America provides sophisticated investors and advisors with deep-dive coverage across the high-yield, distressed and restructuring universes.

The reporter will be focused on breaking news about in-region companies, speaking with industry, financial market and advisory sources and working with a team of journalists and credit and legal analysts spread across the US, Brazil and Argentina. Strong English skills and fluency in Spanish or Portuguese are required. The position will offer the opportunity for in-region travel. The successful candidate will have: – Aspirations to break news regarding Latin American corporate borrowers; – An understanding of fixed income securities, company balance sheets and a good grasp of the broader financial markets; – Strong writing skills and an investigative mind; – Time management and communication skills; – A self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach; – Outstanding networking and contact-building skills.
